A Lifelong Passion for Nurturing Young Minds
With a deep commitment to early childhood education, I strive to create classrooms where safety and curiosity go hand-in-hand. My approach is rooted in fostering holistic development, ensuring every child feels supported as they explore their world. Beyond the classroom, my tutoring services provide tailored guidance to help young learners reach their full potential. Working with young children is truly my passion, and I love creating a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, curious, and excited to learn. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Child Development from Vanderbilt University, as well as a Master's degree in Education from New York University. I have been teaching for over 12 years and my teaching philosophy centers on the holistic development of the child, nurturing mind, heart, and spirit.
Thrive Classes
Kindergarten classes are offered at Thrive Learning Center, located at Beach Chapel Church in Encinitas. The Kindergarten curriculum is designed to build strong academic foundations while honoring how young children learn best.
Throughout the year, students will develop early reading and writing skills through phonics, shared reading, storytelling, and hands-on literacy activities. In math, we will focus on number sense, counting, patterns, and problem-solving using engaging, concrete materials.
Alongside academics, a strong emphasis is placed on independence, classroom routines, and collaboration, helping students grow into confident learners who are ready to take on new challenges.
Communication is very important to me, and I believe that a strong partnership between teacher and parents helps children succeed. I will send out a weekly email with updates, important information, and classroom highlights.
